Our founders, Morganne MacDonald and Vince Milewski share a common love of Scotland: its land, its people, its culture, and its food. They started Macski's Highland Foods to make the Scottish cultural experience available to all through healthy, hearty, natural foods. Years of travel to Scotland, and preparing haggis for the St. Andrew's Society of The City of Milwaukee honed our recipe into what it is today - the best tasting haggis in America.
Our natural, antibiotic-free, grass-fed lamb comes from farms that are committed to responsible farming practices. Our oats are certified gluten-free so that persons dealing with Celiac Disease can enjoy our haggis without worry. Our vegetarian haggis is unlike any others that are commercially available - it actually looks, smells, and tastes like haggis.
Our initial focus was providing food for festival vendors and restaurants. We noticed that too many Highland Games lacked quality traditional Scottish fare. To help remedy that situation, we decided that all of our food would be produced in USDA inspected plants. This allows us to distribute our products throughout the United States.
